Hyperbole Example in Romeo and Juliet Prologue

Prologue Quiz Answer: Hyperbole

Picture “her eyes in heaven /Would through the airy region stream so bright /That birds would sing and think it were not night” is an example of hyperbole. Hyperbole is an exaggeration. Although Juliet’s eyes may be bright, it is doubtful that they would turn night into day.

Throughout the play, Romeo and Juliet use hyperbole and oxymoron when discussing love.
